    Default Hatching Around text

I have a polyline box that has a solid hatch in it, I want to place text on top of the hatch and have the text print out as "White"
Is there a way to hatch around the text? If I set the text to white then it prints out black. I do not want to trace around the text
and cut it out that way. Is there a better way to do this?
    Thanks

Have you tried creating a separate penstyle with color in it, so that when it prints out it will be white?

With default acad.ctb color 255 would do it. With AutoDesk-MONO.stb 10% Screen is pretty light, otherwise like Iceberg said you may have to add a style.

Hatch-2.JPGHatch-1.JPG I still can not get the text to print out white Color 256 is not a valid color. The best I can do is 255 but this still is not white. First pic is model space second pic is PDF plot

Sorry, 255 is what I meant.

Strange that PDF plot worked, and plotting from AutoCAD didn't. Were you using the same Plot Style with both?

so go to a TrueColor. 255,255,255 instead of the nearest Inex color. Truecolors ar outside of the ctb universe, and plot as they are.

Of course, you'll see the 'paper' color on the hardcopy, so plotting to yellow paper means the the 'white' text will look yellow. Plotters/printers don't actually have a white pigment.... and you can't make white from cyan/magenta/yellow/black noi matter how you combine them.
