Default AutoCAD LT 2017 Licensing issue

    Hello all,
I hope I am posting in the right spot, if not, please let me know where it should have been.

I am trying to install a license for what will be a standalone, non internet connected computer and I am having 2 problems.

    1. If logged on as administrator, it will find my license, but if another user logs on, it is not finding the license - but not everyone can be an administrator. And this is while there's still network. Any ideas on why/how to fix?

    2. A rep from Autodesk is saying that there it has to be connected to the internet every 30 days (We are waiting for someone else with more info to get back to us). Is there no workaround to this? Is it just LT and full version may/does work? Did Autodesk not take into account that everyone can't always be connected to a network?

Thanks for any help you can get me.

regarding No 2... my understanding is that you cannot run acad 2017 & above without tagging their servers, regardless of LT or Full.

If that's unacceptable, consider BricsCAD, Ares Commander, or Intellicad. Until Adesk loses sales, we'll continue to get this kind of crud shoved our way.

BricsCAD, Ares Commander from Graebert, Intellicad, lots of viable choices for vanilla or LT replacements. cheaper too.....

If you have one of the "new subscription" standalone licenses, those are issued to an individual, not a machine. That individual can install the software on multiple devices, but can only use one device at a time. If you have multiple people logging into one computer, each user needs to have her or his own license.
