    Why are my Drawing Coordinates grayed out?

    Just double click on them to change the coordinates to update as you move your cursor around the screen or CTRL + I will do the trick too.

    When your coordinates are grayed out, they only updated when you click on a point on the screen. That's how I like to have them set up for me.

    Actually that's just a more difficult way to do what Iceburg said. A third way is to use Ctrl+I you will see the Coords Variable change on the Command line as well.
