    Default Title Block Attributes

I am hoping for some help

We work with 2-5 layouts per DWG. The attributes on these layouts remain the same for approx 90%, with the other 10% including sheet numbering and dates etc.

Is there a way we can enter this information in once to Layout 1, and it globally change the remaining 2-5 layouts

Pretty much what Sheet Sets are good for, without having to do a deep dive into functionality. Set the SheetSet Properties for the things that do't change, and Per-sheet properties for those that do. Then just manage everything via SSM

We have a standard project folder layout, in which we have an Xref which notes the project title, job number etc.
All our title layouts have a relative link back to the Xref.

Another options is too create a separate drawing that contains the titleblock and the information that once is entered will not be changed for the project.

This drawing will get XREF'd into your final drawing. Make sure you XREF this in before creating layout Tabs.

Next step is to create just a drawing that has attributes or text of the areas in the titleblcok that will change, sheet number, name, etc. This would get inserted into PS as a block. Then all you have to do is edit that text on each layout tab.

One suggestion is too make the text that is XREF'd and the text that is inserted a different color for each. This way you can visually see which areas of text need to be edited per sheet and/or XREF'd.

My previous employer was pretty high speed about letting us map our title blocks to built-in and custom Sheet Set and Sheet (SSM) properties.

My current employer, well the CAD folks here freak out with anything like that, so I've resorted to populating the block attributes in each sheet drawing... That said, I automate the process, so I just manage the title block data in Excel, right click convert the Excel to CSV via Shell menu (the built-in export takes too many clicks!), and open the drawings I need to update:
