Default Solid & Pattern Hatch (Dual)

    HI

We have a number of hatches we use to fill buildings, grass areas, concrete areas that still on our tool palette.

Previously these hatches have just been a solid hatch with a transparency on it

However we now would like it to be a solid hatch with a soft pattern sitting on top which gives us a better visual effect.

The problem is when creating this hatch and dragging it to out tool palette it wont allow us when wanting to use this hatch to include both the solid and pattern hatches as we require.

Has anyone a quick fix or can provide some better guidance to me so I can set this up for our company.

hatches can have both a pattern, and a background color. I don't believe however., that you can assign different transparencies to the solid background vs the pattern.

APologies, my main question is if you can import a solid hatch with a pattern into a tool palette, to speed up the process on standard hatches we use

two hatches? no. But you can have a pattern hatch, with a filled background. Basically the inverse of what you are asking for.

I do this ALL the time.
You have to have proper pen setting with different fade control setting for each color you are using. So... you are going to need to talk to whoever manages your plotstyle settings to make this work.
Also this wont work if you print using .stb Style Tables rather than .ctb Color Tables.
