Default Stretching/Locking Points in Dynamic Block

    Hello,

If I have, for example a square with a cross (such as a timber batten in section), is there a way of freely stretching the square into a rectangular shape yet maintaining the cross from corner to corner?
Is it possible to lock points to stay joined?

    Thank you.

Yes. The stretch action in a dynamic block works very similar to the stretch command. It's also not that hard to implement.

A more complex solution would be to use 'constraints'. This would allow you to tie the geometry of items/points to each other.

Attached is a drawing with a block that I think illustrates your example.
