    Also - Not sure why IT felt compelled to implement an entire VM for plot queuing (i.e., a hyper-v vm which consumes proc, ram, nic, etc.), when simply teaming the physical host's NICs yields better performance (not to mention has no measurable overhead).

    Hey, VMs are the height of fashion these days. surely you don't think that anyone in IT or software development is at all concerned with users getting work done? It's much more interesting to play with the currently fashionable gimmicks, whether VM, ribbons, IoT, programmable light bulbs, etc.

    ... It's like I'm in the Twilight Zone, within a Twilight Zone.

    I'd clarify, but then I'd either devolve into venting, or perhaps breach NDA, so I just won't; suffice it to say, that I feel your pain.

    Cheers

    Well, I can't say it's really sorted -- just a workaround. All my pagesetups now have to point to the local printer mounted on my PC -- which would be a problem for anyone else needing to publish drawings from a different PC. For now I'm the only cad guy in this shop, but that will change.

    And it doesn't seem to be related to the WSD port either -- I got IT to remount their queue to a regular TCPIP port, but any 11x17 sent thru the new server queue shows up at the printer 11.34 x 17.34 instead of 11x17. All the same print drivers too... (No wonder I drink)

    <Update>
    Alrighty then -- looks like the problem is due to the new server's OS. The old one was Win Server 2008, new box is running Win Server 2012. The local driver's that are installed on the desktop are the same files regardless of server 2008/2012 or local, but the queue on the 2012 server is messing up my prints.
