autocad Civil 3d Land desktop data link problem

I'm trying to create a new excel data link but my program cant seem to find my excel program, any ideas?20170110_173550.jpg

I suspect for that to work, you'd have to be running a WinXP machines with what ever version of Excel was shipping the year before your land desktop companion version came out (and never updated anything). Given everything that's changed in desktop computing in the last decade expecting anything else seems unrealistic.
