Revit Arch and MEP

I am an electrical engineer who uses Revit MEP. I have a drafting service I use who is using Revit Architecture. He is unable to host the lighting families to ceilings. When I go though my MEP I do have the option to host to ceilings and it works fine. Is there an easy solution or do I need to find a drafter who uses MEP?
