    Default POINT LABEL STYLE

I'm using the point # and description label. when it's in the normal state, the point number is on top and the description is below.
but when it's in the dragged state, they invert and I cannot find how to change that.

    any ideas?

    thanks

Are there any expressions involved in the X and Y offsets for each of these components?

I'm not yet using 2017, but could it just be a matter of editing the style's Drag State component display to 'As Composed'?

    https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...53FE7-htm.html
Stacked Text: Reformats labels based on the settings in this Dragged State Components category.
When you select Stacked Text, all blocks, lines, ticks, and direction arrows are removed. The text components are stacked vertically in the order they were defined in the label style.

Edit the style, delete the description text component making point number the one you want 'first', then add the description back in.

in the layout tab they are both 0.0000"

that works fine as long you remain on the right side of vertical. when you try to move the label to the left side of vertical the leader doesn't change.

@Tom.....tried deleting and adding, but to no avail.

I did however find the fix, at least for me. in the label style composer dialog on the layout tab the 4th box over (the one after the red X delete button) is the component draw order hierarchy option.
once i rearranged that, it works fine now.

thanks for the help and i hope this is a solution others can use if they have a similar problem.

Robert is your Dragged State Components Display set to Stacked Text or As Composed?
    https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autoc...t/true#M194581

I've always used Stacked Text to avoid the Dragged State leader issues and cleaned ours up years ago. If you method works on Stacked Text labels it's easier than what I was able to find online.

Another option would be to do it as one multi-lined text component vs two that become subject to the drag setting and draw order.

    Check out this thread.
I have confirmed this can cause what you are seeing.

Here is an example that I purposely set up to do this:
