    Default XREF WILL NOT DETACH

    Hi
I have a dwg from an Architect that have opened in Civil3D It has an XREF in it that I do not need or want. I have tried repeatedly to detach it. It won't detach. I have tried reloading and relinking then detach with no success. I have tried to recover and audit the dwg no sucess. Any thoughts anyone ?

This one also. The "Issue" here is confusing, but the solutions are still applicable.

Yes, agreed, I had suggested a dummy XREF to a similar problem HERE
