Default Exporting Inventor to Autocad dimension issues

    DIMS.PNG

When exporting Inventor dwg to Autocad dwg some dimensions do not convert cleanly. Even though all the settings are correct, I believe, I have to redimension. The converted dimensions will not update to the correct style. An example is on the attached picture. The lower dimension is what is imported. It should look like the upper dimension. Anyone have a solution to this?

It looks like the styles may not be mapped correctly. I ran a quick test, and the dimensions came in unaltered. I have had similar, but unrelated issues using this Inventor to AutoCAD workflow.

One option is to use Mechanical, link to the Inventor model, and then do all of your drawing level annotations there, thereby bypassing the Inventor drawing. That being said, I abandoned this approach some years ago, as it did not meet my requirements, nor that of my clients.

If you import the correct dimensioning into Inventor from AutoCAD it wills stop some of this, but on some smaller dimensions I have found the arrows get reversed and positioning gets messed up. I have yet to find a fix unfortunately, so I either have to redraw them or just accept them as they are. Happy hunting.
