I'm buying a new desktop PC for Revit 2017. I'm a sole practitioner architect, and will be using it primarily for modeling single-family homes (no large complex models like skyscrapers or anything), construction documents, and want to be able to do my own renderings inside Revit, as close to photorealistic as possible. Will run dual monitors.
Have been looking at Dell and HP, but just discovered Boxx and wondering if they are an appropriate option for the type of work I'm doing, as described above, or would Boxx be overkill for me?
I read the sticky thread on Desktop Recommendations for Revit but noticed it's a few years old, so not sure if I should still follow those guidelines.
I don't want the bare minimum requirements. I want top-end performance for the modest-sized projects I'm working on, but not more power than I need either.
Any recommendations for operating system, processor, RAM, harddrive, and video card, are much appreciated.
