Angry Duct Accessory's and Duct Gapping

I'm needing to show a temperature sensor in some of my ducts. I download a family from Siemens that was close to what i needed. When I go to place to probe in the duct. The probe is mask out by the duct gap masking. I'm i doing something wrong or is these just something Autodesk hasn't fix yet?

Its not an Autodesk problem. Siemens incorrectly created the family, or they did not understand how you would try to use the family. Temperature sensor probe..couldn't that just be a generic annotation? The would not create a gaping issue.
