    Default Structure Properties-Insertion Rim behavior

I can't change the rim insertion elevation on my structure?

I have the automatic surface on false but it won't allow me to adjust the rim elevation, it reverts back to the original elevation when I hit apply.

Sounds like you may have a structure rim to connected pipe vertical distance limit issue.

Structures will try to accommodate a connected pipe by adding the pipe invert, pipe diameter, pipe wall thickness, structure top slab or cone, grate/rim frame thickness, plus a vertical pipe clearance value. If there isn't enough distance from invert to rim, the rim adjusts to the minimum allowable.

Where do I adjust the vertical distance under structure properties?

    Thank you.

The minimum distance is built into the part model though partbuilder. The idea is to prevent you from assembling parts together that don't physically fit and can't be constructed

You could redesign pipes to be deeper.
You could swap out a structure that has a cone for one that has a flat slab top.
You could spec a rim/grate frame that is shorter in height.
You could spec a slab or cone top that is thinner/shorter.
You could adventurous and open up the part in partbuilder to edit the values used in the part model. (I don't advise this unless you know what you're doing)
