    Default Monitor problem question

    Hello all,
This is more of a hardware question than a software question but all you guys are so smart (kissin up there ) I thought you maybe could help. As most of you, I use two monitors while using AutoCAD, a laptop and a larger stationary monitor. I recently upgraded my laptop to a really high grade workstation style (expensive). Now the second monitor (HP 2009m) keeps auto adjusting, where the screen goes black then comes back on...over and over. Very frustrating. On the old laptop, it did not do this. The connection (HDMI) is the same as the connection to the old laptop. Any of you experience this and if so how did you fix it? Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance.

Make sure the video card driver is up to date.
If you run in safe mode, does it still do this?
