I'd be interested to see how others are handling this...
Typically the Roof Framing Plan is setup to be at coarse detail level so we only see the stick symbol layout.
I have a roof structure containing of Z Purlins. These are lapped at each grid line by 15% of their length. Technically their is only 4mm of offset between these two beam systems. However, graphically this is very difficult to read.
What I'd like to do is be able to have Revit show every second bay lines offset. So I thought I'd just go into the family for the beam, set the current stick symbol line to connect to a Yes/No parameter for "Stick Symbol Offset No" and then create another stick symbol line that is offset and connect it to another parameter "Stick Symbol Offset Yes". Then obviously put in a formula for these two instance parameters so they can't both be on at the same time.
However, there was no stick symbol line in the family at all... So not sure how to override Revit to not display this stick symbol and instead to show mine?
Any ideas?
