labels and line link

need to bring just some labels in from survey dwg.

I cant remember the setting that unlinks the label from the line work.
I want to copy over labels into another drawing. cant do it.

I can't xref them in. cant copy them it, it brings the whole rest of the survey.

cant block them in.

Not sure exactly what you're trying to accomplish. but if you want to bring over the bearing and distance labels, you can explode them which turns them into a block and then explode them again which will turn them into mtext.
of course once you explode them, they won't be dynamic anymore.
