2017 Object Enabler

I am missing a point of 2017 Object Enabler. if I have 2017 civil 3d and I install object Enabler how does that benefit other AutoCAD based product users?

If you have Civil 3D, you shouldn't need to install an object enabler. An object enabler enables other software to see objects created in Civil 3D, e.g. someone who has plain acad would install one for Civil 3D so they can work with dwgs you created.

No, you would only need to install an enabler if you got files from someone else with another software, e.g. a building was done in AutoCAD Architecture and you wanted to xref it into your site.
