    Angry Fonts not displaying correctly

I ran a quick search on the forum, but did not find anything similar, so here we go.

I am using AutoCAD C3D 2015. I have a title block from an architect using ADT 2007. There is one font that has been substituted to simplex and I am baffled. They sent me the files via eTransmit, so I have the SHX file. It is in the same directory as the drawing. I have also copied it in several other folders that are listed under the Support File Search Path. They have resent the SHX file to make sure it was not corrupted, but still no luck. All of the other fonts work, but there is one that is still being displayed as simplex. Any suggestions?

Since you mention folders in the Support File Search Path, I'm assuming those were the "...\fonts" folders (might as well file fonts with fonts, right?).

My first thought is have you closed and re-opened the file? Closed & Re-opened the program? Re-booted the computer? (This doesn't seem like something that would need the computer re-boot, but you know what us troubleshooters are like. )

That usually is the case, after you're sure you have the font in the right place, shutting down AutoCAD and re-starting should work.

If you run the STYLE command and find the style in question - what font does it SAY it's using?

Does it have a little yellow shield on it like this?

Based on that, we have to presume OP is talking about an SHX font, until otherwise clarified.

Having the SHX font in the same folder as the DWG may not be the answer. Make sure a copy is in the root font folder with all the other SHX files for your install.

If the customer sent you their fonts then it may just be that you need to install them. Highlight all of the ones they provide, right click, install.

Oh, and after you do that, restart your AutoCAD.

Installing a font is _only_ applicable if the font file is a TTF or OTF. SHX fonts _must_ be in the support folder.
