Ortho F8 key locking up AutoCAD

My F8 key for ortho on/off is locking up acad for about 30 seconds and then not toggling on or off when in the middle of a command.

It is functioning fine when no other command is active.

Any ideas?

For toggling Ortho on or off when in the middle of a command I always hold the Shift key down.

I know with the Windows 10 updates we had a similar problem. Try setting TEMPOVERRIDES to zero. Hope that helps.

Function key freezes AutoCAD while in a draw or modify command fix

I use temporary overrides all the time, don't think I could get by without them.

I thought the newest update to 2016 fixed it 2016.0.10 . It came out at the end of April

Generally keeping up with the Service Packs avoids a lot of issues like this. I only install fixes when experiencing the issues the fix is for.

I always use Polar Tracking (F10) instead of F8 ^^

I'm C3D 2016 with all the updates and patches. Prior the Function key (F) Key fix, my F8 would hang every time, the work around was to use the mouse and button to toggle or if I hit F8 because of habbit from my sister win 7 box habits, just hit the windows button twice and you're good.
