Hi Guys,
I am having issues with my model, where I have placed multiple Filter banks in a row and connected them into my duct header in parallel, prior to connection into my exhaust fans.
As you can see from the attached image, I have air flow into a header (the under slung duct with red arrow) above my filter housings, where legs branch off the side, and drop down into my filters.
I have set up the filter housings as mechanical equipment with the following settings on the two duct connectors:
Filter Inlet:
Flow Configuration:Calculated
Flow Direction: In
System Classification: Exhaust Air
Loss Method: Specific Loss
Filter Outlet:
Flow Configuration: Preset
Flow Direction: Out
System Classification: Exhaust Air
Loss Method: Not Defined
The filters are then connected back up into another header above (blue arrow) which takes the air to the fans.
I am still relatively new to Revit, so I may have missed something fairly elementary, but when I place the second filter bank in the model, the flow calculations cease to function.
Does Revit not allow this sort of functionality or do I have to amend my model? I had assumed that I could balance the dampers attached to my dropped legs, however I am unaware how I could achieve this.
Any help would be appreciated
Josh
