    Question 3D family visibility

I've decided to remake my question since I believe I wasn't being clear enough.

Is it possible to make a 3D family, assign it different top and side views and turn the 3D model visibility OFF from every view except 3D?

I want to make use of some 3D families, I just don't want the wireframe to show up in plan and elevations.

Yes, you can do that. You can turn off the model in all views ( Plan, RCP, Elevations and when cut in plan )

Unhappy Re: 2D or 3D casework and sinks?

I've been trying this and I'm not making it...

I know I can turn the visibility settings of several features in the project, on different views.

But what I want is to make the 3D model only show up on 3D views... I'm not making it. Because it's still there in plan and elevation. Don't know what I'm doing wrong

I tried to turn it off from plan and elevation views while I was editing the family, leaving it only visible in 3D view... to no avail.

In a 3D View, within the family, uncheck all the visibility boxes.

Talking Re: 2D or 3D casework and sinks?

I did it the first time... and it didn't work out.
Strangely though, it did on the fourth, so I'm really not very sure on what the hell happened with Revit. Is it this prone to bugs?

Either way I've found the missing link in Revit for me to be completely happy about the program. I can use my 3D models and give them the plan symbols I most like without having those cumbersome wireframes in the front.

Props to the program and props to you guys

I'm inclined to believe the problem wasn't Revit's.....I've never had anything suddenly work when the same steps had failed previously.
