So, first of all, if this subject has been discussed already please accept my apologies - I've searched many forums and haven't found an answer.
Basically, I have this situation:

I've created 3 shared parameters, that every window has, depending on its material category: AL-aluminium MS-steel NG-wood
The parameter type is yes/no
Now, I have window tag family, with a label that takes the Mark Number of that window.
That number needs to be framed by either a circle (aluminium) , a hexagon (steel), or a square (wood) - that's our office standard.
So, I drew the circle, hexagon and the square, and gave each a visibility parameter.
I'm trying to get the tag to automatically display the correct frame, based on which material category parameter is checked.
I'm able to use the material category values (AL, MS, NG, as marked in the window family type) for the label in the tag family, but I can't use those parameters for the family type parameters (basically transfer those values to the on/off parameters of the circle/hexagon/square frames

Any idea anybody?

Thank you
