Default Modeling Small Drainage features with Null Strucure

It seems that C3D is geared toward larger stormwater collection systems, with the smallest structure being a 24x24 rectangular. For smaller, on features such as patio or landscape drains http://www.kristar.com/index.php/con...drain-p-series would you just use a null structure, or create a custom part in part builder? Can null structure be modeled as such an intake within SSA?

Also is there an online resource of custom structures such as above to be downloaded/shared for free?

    Thank you

We use [Gravity] Pipe Networks for sanitary, storm, and water mains; not sure on SSA as we don't use it (we use WaterCAD + ICPR).

That said, I use Null Structure Styles for all fittings (plan and profile), but also add customer structures and pipe sizes for common items not included.

Not aware of a free online part catalog; most custom parts either only apply to internal standards, or those of local municipalities/manufacturers. Actually, Florida DoT has a Civil 3D State Kit that provides all of their drainage structures, now that I think of it.

    Cheers

I just made my own parts by copying the standard ones out of the box and editing the available sizes. Example, when I needed 4" drainage cleanouts I took the basic cylindrical structure and edited the available inside diameter values to include 4", 6", 8" and 12". (with thinner sidewalls too)

The ones out of the box are basically a series of examples of what you could do.
