Default Groups / Closet Shelf and Rod

I have dwelling units grouped and copied to different floors. Each plan has the same view template.
Everything is showing as intended except on 1 plan, all the closet rod and shelves don't show up. If a group is placed or moved off of the floor plate, the rod and shelves show up halftone, and disappear again when dragged back over the floor.
It seems there's something up with both the level and the floor, but I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?

By any chance are those families linebased?
If so - they dont do very well in multilevel groups: youll need to make non-line based families and use them instead
