Not sure if this is the correct forum, but maybe someone has been through this before...

I work for a firm that uses DataCAD 19. The whole firm (it's small, so I guess it's not that crazy). Not a one of them use autoCAD. I went straight from vectorworks to revit 9 years ago, and have only a passing familiarity with autoCAD. My problem is this: In trying to convince the owner to switch to revit, I need to demonstrate that I can import standard details easily from dataCAD to revit (through autoCAD as dwgs), and maintain the pen settings/line weights (in previous firms, the BIM geniuses did this; now I'm figuring out how to be the BIM person...). Pretty sure that's customizable from dwg to revit, but I have no idea about this other dinosaur in the room.

Anyone ever had to deal with this before? Any help would be appreciated, even if it's knowledge on how to get from dataCAD to autoCAD ( which i think is .tbl to .ctb??). I'm posting this in the autoCAD forums, too...
