Default Family Based parameter controlled Nested Family multiplication

    Hi There,
I´m quite new in this forum, so I just hope I ask in the good Segment.
I´m working on a Family Part, where I want to multiply a nested Family in a line. It looks not so complicated and it works as long I do not vant to change the Nested Family Object Type from a Family based Parameter.
    Specially:
    - I have a Sectional Door, where The Panels are coming from Different Nested Families. (The Base of the Families are the same, so teoreticaly it should work).
    - I want to multiply the Sectional panels over each others from a calculated Parameter.
    - I change the Nested Family Height and Width from a Parameter as well.
    - Until I do not want to change the Type (based on TypeCatalog) of the nested Family, everything is fine, but after the Family just collapsed.

Is there somebody, who can help on me, how it should work?

Hi, quick question: were both Families created at the same time using the same template?

You should not be using the FamilyTypes parameter for this. You should simply have a yes/no parameter that you can click to change the amount of cuts from 2 to 5. The FamilyTypes parameter is mainly used for switching out one family for a completely different one such as a solid door panel with a door panel that has glazing. I think you also need to clean up your parameters as it seems you have way too many and can combine some of them.
