Default Expression for Angle of Deflection in Label?

I'm trying to create an expression to calc angle of deflection on an alignment.
I've never written a expression before so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong, but at this point I've frustrated myself to the point that I can't even logically work through.
I tried the formula ATAN2({PI Northing},{PI Easting}) and formatted the result as angle.
Has anyone had any luck with this?
My apologies if this is an overly simple question, I think I've worked myself into a stupor over this.
    Thanks in advance

    Try this:

Select the alignment, select Add Labels in the ribbon to open its menu, select Multiple Point of Intersection. This will label all the PIs of the selected alignment with a Point of Intersection label. This label entity has Delta Angle available as a property for labeling.
