Importing Named Dimension Style from Drawing "A" into Drawing "B" with Same Named Dim Style

I would like to use ADC or Express Tools Dimstyle Export-Import to update a named Dimension style in a particular drawing from another drawing that uses the same Dim Style. But after experimenting with ADC & Express Tools Dimstyle Export-Import, the settings for the Dimstyle persist in the drawing I want to update the Dim Style of. Any suggestions?

Rename the dimstyle in the old drawing, import the replacement style, select all old dimensions, change the style in Properties, and rock on.

DIMEX --> Export dimension style

DIMIM --> Import dimension style, with option to overwrite existing style

cadtag's suggestion was the way I would have gone too.

I tried that option before I posted. The same-named Dim style's settings still persist.
