    Default autocad files on ONEDRIVE/dropbox

i have an office computer and also a laptop for mobile/home. i currently use GOODSYNC to sync between them both. i use microsoft onedrive for other things and its always worked great. i just reformatted my laptop and considered moving all drawing files to a onedrive folder and get away from goodsysnc. couple of questions:

    - anyone use onedrive (or dropbox, etc) to store drawings?
    - any issues with working on drawings directly from onedrive?
    - pros/cons of having all files on onedrive?

i have a separate backup service that backs up all files (crashplan pro) thats a redunant safety measure.

    thanks for the help!

My team uses OneDrive and Crashplan Pro. I don't have any issues working with AutoCAD files on OneDrive, but, I am using a spotty wifi connection to work. If you have a better connection than I do, you might have a more noticable difference. If working in Revit, I do work on the files locally because it is more likely to crash when slow. But, that's not an issue since I'm the only Revit user in the company.

It shouldn't be any different than working on a local LAN, except a little faster because you are really working from a local cache at C:\Users\username\OneDrive. The files are then synced to the cloud.

i moved all files over. have to say i am much happier, no need to activate goodsync and pay attention to whats transferring.. just draw. and so far its working flawlessly

    thanks you for the replies!
