Default Heating and cooling load calculations based on material thermal properties

I am trying to understand the heating and cooling load calculation using building elements (roof, walls etc.) thermal properties like U value, R value etc.

    For this
    • I built simple model of four walls, roof and floor.

    2-3D.jpg
    • Thermal properties of building elements

    • My energy settings are as below. Note Detailed Elements is checked.

    • No override is selected in Schematic Types

    • Now whether I Check Detail Elements box in Advance Energy setting or I uncheck this box, I get the same results. This means calculation is always based on "Conceptual Types" and selecting "Detailed Elements" check box is not making any difference.

    • My question is that what I am doing wrong that I am not getting heating and cooling load calculations based on material thermal properties specified for building elements?
    Thanks

Default Re: Heating and cooling load calculations based on material thermal properties

Be sure that the materials have thermal properties attached to them, and there are no generic overrides.
