Door family with nested families not adjusting to width

I have created a 6-panel door slab type nested inside our company standard door family. I locked the dimensions from frame to first panel, between panels, and second panel to frame. I unlocked the overall slab width dimension, but left the trim width dimensions locked - the intent is to have the panel widths adapt to the overall width. When I change the door width to 4', the door opening is expanding to the correct width, but the door slab is still 3' wide. I'm assuming I need to add a reference plane somewhere...

I've attached the door family below, can anybody tell me what I've missed?

You need to make the nested door panel parameters as instance based and then link those parameters to the Width and Height and thinkness inside the assembly.
So when you change the width parameter in the assembly, it pushes that value to the door.
All of your parameters in the nested door panel family are type based.

I fixed the panel door and saved it back in family.
You'll need to do the same with the others.
