    Default 3D surface bounding box

    Hello everyone
I'm looking for a routine code to find the minimum bounding box around a given 3d Surface (curved in 3d dimensions).
I searched forums for it, what I found is merely the bounding box or rectangle that is oriented in WCS coordinate system.
What I need is the general smallest bounding box that is tangent to one of the surface faces, and contain the surface in minimum volume.

    thanks in advance.

    regards
    Wisam

Three was a lot of discussion about this at Cadtutor, creating a boundary of a 3 d surface, in searching terms its known as boundary of complex hull, one very smart solution was found but had a cost for program. Some others were offered but results can vary. Try www.lee-mac.com he has one solution.
