Converting plines to walls

Seems when I have an offset pline that resembles a wall it gets converted into 2 walls. IT just looking for a single line or pline. How can I get around this without redrawing the plan. Imaging a floor plan with lines or plines as walls.

If you have two polylines for each Wall, representing the opposite faces of the Wall, you are going to have to convert just one of the two polylines.
