    Default shape file had no elevation

    :roll:I'm trying to import a AutoCAD shape file its a set contours. The problem is they import fine but they have no z valve no elevation.

    I think you mean ESRI shape file (which is typically a set of files including, .shp, .dbf, .prj, etc. files)

    What application are you using to import this file, and what command?

    1st check the import contours do they have attribute info attach that is the correct elevation. If they do the next step is to open a new file and QUERY the contours in. If you have never done a query you will need to go to AD knowledge center and get the instructions.
