I haven't had any luck finding anything on this, so here goes . . .

I finally got our engineering drafters to use points (took a couple years of fighting) and I want to make their jobs easier.

In designing the grading for a site, we have to not only show our point elevations but slopes in various areas.

I've sat down, used the points to create a dummy surface so that I can produce slopes without having to hand bomb each one. It seems that slope arrow styles that display a line and arrow from start to end which interferes with point symbols and/or blocks. I'm trying to figure out how to produce a gap at either end. I've attempted to do this from scratch using a line and arrow head block but can't get it to center up between points. Too many absolute values (offsets) and the only percentage seems to do this from the end of the line and not from the mid point. I also can't find a way to anchor it so that a percentage length line actually displays as it becomes a zero length.

Any ideas?
