styles and code set styles

are styles and code set styles, etc. compatible with different versions? i.e 2016, 2017 and 2018.

We have used the same for 2013 -2016 answer is ok open in 2018 but have not checked. We need to restart our DWT it very old and needs a clean up, so will use a 2018 default then IMPORTSTYLES and STEALBLOCKS by Lee-mac.

Generally speaking you can take your 2013/4/5/6 template and open it in 2017 and save, and now you have a 2017 template.
Same for other version changes.
But a lot of people like to start with a new empty DWG and import the items from a previous template, then saveAs current version.
