Fire Protection LISPS?

I'm not a LISP coder (yet). I've been relying on the same beautiful (yet essentially unknown) pipe-cut routine to build fire sprinkler system for years -- in fact, I'm pretty sure the guy originally handed it to me on a floppy. It's one function call that has saved me thousands of hours, however, I'm wondering if anything else exists. I don't need anywhere near the functionality of the big guns, HydraCAD, AutoSprink, et. al. Do people normally roll their own LISPs for such things, and if so, are they willing to share ?
