Default Revit Line changes type when it exceeds a given length

A Revit detail line, Solid #6 width is solid until it gets longer than 101' 11". At 102' or longer, it changes to a Center Line Type! When shortened under 102' it returns to a solid line.
    Any thoughts?

If you change the pen does that make a difference?
What Revit version/build are you on?
I can draw a 400' long detail line set to continuous and it's fine.
I'd check your line type settings.
