Default Update Custom Ribbon ICONS in AutoCAD

If I want to update our ICONS for our company Ribbon in AutoCAD, it seems I have to create a copy and/or rename it, then load the newly updated image with a different name. Isn't there some way to force the icon to update without creating a updated copy with a different name?

I thought I could delete the MNR and force it to recompile, but I've not found this to work as I thought it should.

I've seen that before, changing icons wasn't enough to force an update. Changing an item's position in the Ribbon should do it. You can change it back afterwards.
