Default Revit Text - List Function

Currently when creating an itemized list, there does not seem to be a way to have a blank line between each item without that blank line getting a number or letter. In other words, a three item list with blank lines should be noted as A., B. and C., but Revit assigns the blank lines with sequential letters 2 and you end up having a list with items A thru E. Is there a way to avoid this? It's not a big deal when you have a simple list, but when you have extensive general notes it just one big blob. The blank line between each note makes the entire list more readable. See screenshot for more detail.

There is a work around by holding Shift and hitting Enter after you have made your list. It won't add the numbers but will add spaces between them and keep the numbers (or letters or whatever).
