Default annotations lose constraints when changing family type

    Good afternoon all

I have created a face base electrical socket family, which changes symbol based on the family type parameter to allow for the different sockets required.
I created a reference plane to either side of the centre left/right, dimensioning it as Symbol offset left and right respectively. I then aligned and locked a symbol to these reference planes to allow me to override symbol location without having to change the location of the fixture (for visual purposes).
The problem is, when I change family type and the symbol changes, I get the error Constraints not satisfied. It seems that I cannot keep all the different symbols aligned and locked to the reference plane.

    Can someone advise me please?
