Default Importing EASM files to inventor for reference use (2019)

We've been asked to make some additional equipment for a chain digger, so I asked the distributor if he could get me a 3D model to build on.
What I received was an EASM file. I've downloaded this eDrawings viewer which displays it just fine, but I wanted to get it into inventor so I can build my equipment straight on it.
Is there a way or should I just go back to them and ask for a better format?
I need only the outer geometry of the machine and 3 holes per side...

Shouldn't 2019 be available as a prefix by now...?

    Hello,

There is a free Inventor plugin that supposedly allows this, though I have not tried it (...I favor step files...):
