I need help with this part!

I need help creating this part.
We have gland packing (square profile rope), where a length of rope is cut with a 45° mitre.
It is then wrapped on its self to form a doughnut shape.

I am trying to form that shape with this part, by increasing the length of the original sketch No.1 254mm dimension, but I cannot get the shape to close.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have the original part file? This only contains a body.

I can't open your attached files but I made a simplified version. The length can be changed by changing parameter: length.
Will this help you to create your own gland packing?
