Default Lat Long points in bulk

I have a project where there will be 605 trees removed. Yes the project is huge. Anyway, I have tables showing the Lat. Long. of each tree to be removed. I know that Civil 3D can place a point at a specific Lat Long coordinate if you input the Lat then the Long. But for 605 points this would take FOREVER. Does anyone know how to do this in bulk???
Thanks to all cad people out there,
    TT

so you have tables of the data, is there any chance of exporting or copying/pasting the data into an Excel file and creating a csv or txt file that could be imported via the import points functionality?

The raw data is in a pdf file but I can pull the data into an Excel file (one column Lats, one column Longs). I have inserted points before using the import points functionality but they were in the PNEZD format not Lat Long. Do you know if the import functionality can do this?

i don't typical work with lat/long, but yes there should be a point file format for latitude and longitude. look in the tool space under settings-point-point file format. just setup yours in the same fashion and it should work just fine.

you're welcome. hope that does it for you. putting in 605 points one by one would be a royal pain in the butt.

    HI
If your going to input using longs and lats don't forget to set your projection first.
then if you need you can create a point file format using longs and lats you will need to specify decimal degrees or hours minutes seconds. Autodesk has a white paper on the process
