    Exclamation Wall/Roof attach problem - Revit 2019

I have a problem where I need to join a stacked wall and roof in a gable end. When I click the attach wall button, then click the roof i want the top of the wall to attach to, it doesn't only attach the top wall within the stacked wall, but it also attaches the bottom wall within the stacked wall. I get the error "Highlighted walls are attached to, but miss, the highlighted targets"... and the only option is to either detach targets for cancel the operation. I have attached a snip of before and after the wall attach to the roof. The only way to get the wall to "join" to the roof and look correct is to modify the profile, but I want to figure out what is preventing me from doing it the right way. Please help, thank you.

That tool is pretty tricky to use without creating problems. I don't like it. Consider going into the Wall Sketch instead. (If that's not a detailed enough solution you can look at Parts)

That is what i am currently doing now to fix the gable ends, but at the eves the wall still is not connected to the roof, which will effect the renderings in from the interior when i have vaulted ceilings. I didn't know if there were some mystical secrets about stacked walls and attaching to roofs that someone would potentially reveal.

I have fixed this problem. It was a corruption within the stacked wall. I copied a stacked wall from another project, changed the wall types withing the stacked wall to match the one i was having problems with and everything works as it should now.
