Room Finish Schedule Organization

Hello all.

I have a project where the PM wants to organize the rooms on the schedule by suites. For example, a Band room in a High School. The suite includes the Band Room, Practice Rooms, Ensemble Room, Office, Uniforms, Library and a Vestibule into the suite. All room numbers are off the same base (525, 525A, 525B, 525C...). However the Vestibule is V525. And the PM wants it to show first in line within the schedule.

525A
525B
525C
and so on.

Next suite would be:
V526
526
526A
and so on.

My first thought was to make a general text field and number the rooms 1 thru whatever then sort by that but if rooms are added later then I would have to renumber them all to line up.
I am looking for a simpler solution. Any insight would be appreciated.

You could use two parameter to sort the list. I agree renumber the rooms as a whole would not be ideal , but if you break them up to be grouped together as a suite then you would only need to renumber that suite and not the entire project.
