    Default shape file

i have inserted a shape file that has some data associated with it. not in the traditional sense with object data. how can i find the data shown under the category of "feature properties" in the attached image.
i know how to use the mapanntext command to create the annotated text for the object, but i can't find this category anywhere. this is not the actual drawing with the correct date, just looking for guidance on
how to find this information. the actual shape file has points with descriptions that i need to display, but comes in just like this.

You say you "INSERTED" the shape file? Did you use the insert command, Mapimport, data connect or drag and drop the file? If it was data connect or drag and drop then in the Map task pane you need to right click on the file and select "Show data table". To display the Map Task Pane use the MAPWSPACE command.

Okay, I was able to do what you suggested. and the data table shows the information I need. Now how do i annotate the data that's in the comment column?

update: don't know why, but i was working in C3D 2016 and could not get it to work. We also have 2019, so i tried it in there and it worked like a charm.

well, don't i feel stupid. it turns out the reason the text didn't show up is because it was set to the same color as my background.
once i changed the text color, everything is fine.
