    Post Details in families

I create a lot of families in Revit and I have come to realize that some of the smaller detailing gives you errors and when you have Clients asking for this level of detail it is very frustrating when you can't come up with a solution.

Now I realize that Revit is not meant to be another Inventor but I really wish that they could come up with a solution with this.If your thoughts are along the same line as mine click on the poll and maybe the development team will take it into consideration.

    What does this mean specifically?

I think they're referring to modelling in fine detail... remember you can embed detail components to represent the element at fine detail??? (Is this what you mean?)

Sorry if I didn't clarify too well but what mean is when you try create objects. When the objects detailing gets smaller than 20 mm sometimes 30 mm Revit starts to give you a lot errors.

Try creating a sweep that cuts 30 by 30 block on one corner so it becomes rounded and you'll see what I mean.

Revit begins to bark at you when you make things that it thinks won't be visible when printed. Can you attach the family that's giving you trouble?

That's what I don't understand (this behaviour of REVIT) and can't agree with it! It is so frustrating, when you draw anything below 1mm and it is considered an error! Why REVIT simply can't "skip" or ignore printing all those small elements when, at the time of printing (partiular scale or setup), they are too small to print? Or turn them to "dots" if they become smaller than... whatever (the cut-off value seems to be 0.6mm for the line definition - again WHY...?!)

Sorry if I haven't replied in a while.
The problem is when you try to create 30 by 30 mm Square solid and then use a couple of voids to make one corner of the square rounded

It will always tell you that it can't create it cuase of some error or another.
